Yafray integration moving forward . . . is Crafter included?

Post by emack »

Ton's news post indicated that a small group was working to integrate Yafray as a rendering plugin for Blender . . . great news!

Is any work ongoing to integrate Crafter (node based shader/texturing system) into Blender to provide Yafray with textures & shaders?

This would really make Blender/Yafray a killer combination . . . and if it could output to Renderman as well it'd be a big plus.

That's a smart way to do things. I look forward to seeing it develop!

I'm really impressed with the improvements that Blender is undergoing.

Thanks,

Eliot

As long as I can select to use the yafray renderer and hit the render button and get it to render my scene without having to do anything wierd I'm happy! Keep it simple but with the ability to be flexible and such.

OK Wybren, if I could only get the damn code compiled. I actually have problems in doing that. Isn't there one tutorial, on how to do this with VC7?? As I wanted to switch back to 6, I ouldn't find the right workspace files.... something is wrong. Or please help me out of this misery -because, then I could start supporting you guys with coding on such things, which I'd rellay like to do .... :(
(I am coding 3DSMax at work and I really wanna do some things in Blender as well - but at least, MAX has an SDK, where I can set up a project quite fast without searching in the wilderness)

I hope, it'll work ...

OK, I'll do that ... well, I really hope, that it's working after that...

As you've done it and got it to work, I hope, that I can ask you a question if I run into problems? Don't worry, I wont ask that much :)

Starting now ...

BTW: Did you actually build the latest sources ?
