Render with a cinematic widescreen shot

Post by alphabean11 » Fri Dec 07, 2012 6:07 pm

Hello,

I want to render out an animation but I want to use a more cinematic widescreen shot. I don't want to use just the 16:9 aspect ratio. I am thinking I could use the 2.4:1 aspect ratio but I don't know how to set that up in blender. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Would I just need to set the resolution to 2592 x 1080? Or do I have the dimensions wrong?

1920 X 1080 is 16:9 widescreen res.

I don't want the standard widescreen aspect ratio. I want to make it 2.4:1 or even 2.35:1 like in Tears of Steel.
