AMD Radeon HD 7650M with OpenCL

Post by bobil » Sun Dec 23, 2012 11:46 pm

I have the graphic card in subject and I installed OpenCL driver.
OpenCL 1.1 supported but if I go in User preferences > System I have only CPU option in Compute device.
I don't have OPENCL button but only NONE button.

Why?
Someone can help me?

AMD Radeon HD 7650M <-------

I believe your problem is right there....

'Mobility' chipsets (ie: laptop/notebooks) are designed for battery friendly power savings at the expense number crunching power. They most likely do not support any form of GPU rendering.

This is really strange because 7650 and 7650M have the same driver and Luxrender use the GPU without problem.

With blender 2.63 I have the OpenCL button and it works but doesn't load materials. In 2.65 the button disappears :(
