3D Rendering cuts off at a short distance

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a big area in order to do a (minecraft) 3d movie in blender, it's all going great except when I render, as the title says, it cuts off too short..
Also there's a shading issue..

Temporary fix I found is scaling everything down by 0.2

check the camera clipping settings, they are usually 0.100 and 100.00. You probably have to increase the 100 to 1k or more.
I'm sitting, waiting, wishing, building Blender in superstition...
