No news at all about this feature? :cry:

Ben Omari wrote a python script that applies the image based motion blur to the selected object in postproduction using PIL; at the moment it calculates only the movements of objects and camera, not the rotation nor the deformations of meshes:

It would be really nice if IBMB could be implemented stright in Blender for the 2.37 version, also on the ground of the paper wrote by Harkyman... a huge step in the Blender production pipeline, IMHO.

Funny, I had completely forgotten about this until you bumped the thread (that's the point, I guess). I'd even forgotten the level of detail that proposals had reached.

I agree that this would be a huge addition to Blender's workflow.

i've recently written a message to "piotrekk" that is the guy who developped zutils script asking if them can be used to obtain nice MB or DOF effects.
i'm still waiting for those really missed features.

maybe whit the birth of the "orange" project somebody will develop mblur, i cant' image a "pro" production without dof and mblur.
