Blender crashes when I render!!!! Arrrgggg!

Anybody have any idea why Blender crashes whenever I try to render? It works for a while. In the console window it says 'build particles' 4 times, then it crashes. I hate these random crashes Blender has...

Is this a common problem or should I post up the source file (pretty big)? I just don't want to go straight to uploading it, because I've worked too hard on it to have someone steal it... that is, if they can figure out what it is

Try to minimise the steps to reproduce the bug. When you can reproduce the crash reliable (with the smallest .blend possible), then post to the bug tracker (which can be found through the projects button at the top of the forums).

You will need another account for the bug tracker and the forum. To make an account, go to projects.blender.org. In the upper right corner you see "New Account".
