Don't want to give false hope... but a dummy of Gino's book was showcased here by the publisher. He says release is scheduled end of august... might be wishful marketing blah, but also can be true!

When I am back I will ask Gino what he knows. Looks like its time to get a few coders together who'll work with the solid binary pre-release to get ready for a real full blender release again.

Looks good, might be some good news for a change! By the way, if you've checked the mailing list suddenly some developers have come out of the woodwork. I'm sure somebody can work on solid when its ready, and I'll trudge through it if no one else will.

Just want to let you know that I still didn't hear anything... Sorry for making everyone enthusiast too early. :)

I keep pushing this, but understand we just have to wait for Gino to make his final decisions on a pre-release.

At the Morgan Kaufman site I now see the date is: October 27 2003...

Gino will cooperate with a (controlled circulation) of a binary Solid pre-release, for the experienced engine coders to check & integrate, so we can release quickly after the official Solid release.
