Is Game kit book still relevant?

Post by hashman » Mon Jan 03, 2005 10:44 pm

I'd like to buy the Blender Game Kit book, but need to know if it will still help me to use the game engine in Blender 2.36 or just confuse things?

Also does anyone know if buy on Amazon still helps the Blender cause?
I have a gift certificate I'd like to use up. :?:

The Gamekit book is an excellent intro into 3-D games and game engines. I have been using mine for the last two years or so, and I still use it. The Blender game engine has not changed much with all of the upgrades, so the book is still relavent. The differences in the newer versions are easy to figure out or get from the user forums. The book is a goldmine of information if your are new to game engines.

Yes it's a great book that's still relevant

The paper quality isn't great though and there is a short car modelling tutorial that is impossible to make out because of poor contrast.

having said that buy it yesterday before they all sell out

I bought The Game kit book and the Offical Blender 2.3 guide. I hope buying these at Amazon still helps support the Blender cause!
