hello,

thank you, it's a very good think !

i was looking for a long time to send data from Eyesweb to Blender via MIDI but i think that it should be possible via OSC

i don't know exactly how work OSC, does it need an other software beetwen Blender an the soft from were (or to) we want to send data ?
is it wiretap ?

is Pure Data easy to use like eyes web, can we make the same think with it (like motion capture with a web cam [edit] i find that it should be possible via PD+PDP+ PIDIP[/edit]) ?

thank you if you can help me a little to start with it :)

hi

the script will use the wiretap scripts to start an osc client to receive the data and give it to blender. you don't need other software apart from the python kit from wiretap.

you can make the same thing with pd as eyesweb (and more) but it is not that easy to use, although i think its worth learning. it might be easier to see how max/msp/jitter or jmax work first, they can even open some of the same files

osc to blender

Post by ally-san » Sat May 06, 2006 4:05 am

i think the blender to osc demo is great! also i would really like to have realtime data change my blender game - so instead of send osc data, blender receives external data. ie: data sent from osc transforms mesh objects (even just simple scaling or translating)

anyone know how to do this?

Hey folks, I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if someone
could help me out. I am new to blender, I would like to use it to create
computational geometry that I could use as a score. Blender would be
like a 3D time line.

Ideally I want to send data via OSC to Max/MSP. This threads seems to
have a lot of info regarding this, but most of the links do not work
any more. Did anyone get this working?

Can someone please point me in the right direction.
Does anyone out there have any blender OSC examples?

Anthony
