I'm part of a team making an interface for a VR-glove with Blender, using python script. We are nearing completion of the project (School project).
What you will be able to do is grab and move/rotate objects in 3D and also move/rotate the view both using the VR-glove. We wanted to implement manipulation of vertices too, but didn't have time.
What I'm wondering is if anyone is interested in me filming the use of it and posting links to the clips here? I just thought I'd ask, 'cause if noone is interested, I won't bother spending time filming it

Havent seen the P5 glove, is it related to the 5DT Dataglove? As our glove is custom made, the "hardware" side of the code might not be usefull to you, but the python scripts can probably be used quite directly. All you need is to output the position and rotation of the glove as a 4x4 matrix. I'll post the the code too, once the project is done
I'll post the whole project report (200-300 page pdf) if you want. The glove is quite easy to make if you have the Flock of Birds Sensor (http://www.ascension-tech.com/products/flockofbirds.php). Just a few wires connected to the parallell port
I am _very_ interesting in seeing the report, Porkie. I need to do something quite similar myself. I would very much appreciate it if you would email it to me! You can get my address on my web page.
Cheers,
Ben

Hi,
I worked on the project with porkie, and am now continuing development of it. Was the documentation for the project ever posted? If not, and there is still an interest, I could post them for you. Unfortunately we never made a video recording of the presentation, but maybe something could be arranged.
