Objects aren't moving right for me in 2.42 beta

Post by unsettlingsilence »

I was trying to make a math race game for my students. My quick mock ups work fine in 2.41, but in 2.42 beta when I set a square on a plane and start the game it won't stop bouncing and it falls over. Also, I have problems getting it to rotate after I have made it dynamic.
It works just like I planned in 2.41, so I'm not sure what's up.

P.S.
Thanks to everyone who keeps this game engine going. I wait with baited breath for every upgrade. I can't wait to see what's next!

Please visit the elysiun forum:

Or alternatively post a description here:

preferably with a link to a .blend that show the problem.

Thanks,
Erwin

Ok, for the sake of anyone else new to these changes:
My problem was that Blender 2.42 is defaulted to the new physics engine: Bullet. I was designing using the old physics engine: Sumo.
The button to switch between these two physics engines is in the World button next to the Gravity button. This change may not be new to avid game builders, but it was new to me. And so I leave this message.

Thanks Erwin for your response and hard work. :D
