Local rotation axis and Rotation order

Is there some way to change the alignmen of the local rotation axis of a bone ? Is it possible to change the rotation evaluation order of a bone (say from XYZ to ZXY) ?

Internally, bones use quaternions to calculate their rotation, not eulers. So changing the 'rotation order' doesn't really make sense here, as that won't really do anything.

For me, as an animator, the rotation order has more to do with a way to fully visualize and prevent gimbal lock. I'm really not an expert about these things, but I tried to translate my little knowledge into Blender and...yes, I'm a new and really excited switcher from "the dark side"
