Help creating 2D Animation using list of images from Gimp

Post by oldbyter »

I've searched all day and tried various things in Blender, but the solution escapes me.

I have a list of .tif images which I've created using the Gimp. I want to import the images into Blender in order to create a 2D animation.

Here's the steps I do in Blender:
In the sequencer window I Add->Images, select my .tif files, hit enter, position the rectangle at 1, select the output as targa, set the last frame to 6 (just a small test case), choose an output directory and a basename, then click on Animate and play. (I've tried clicking on Render too.) The output is a list of frames/files which are all blank/black.

What am I missing?

P.S. I've only been using Blender for about a day.

well i didnt look to much into what you were doing... but you may want to try other file types.... the .TIF files may not do it... try the classic JPEG... its worth a shot and what the heck are you going to loose?

I think you need to enable "Do Sequence" in the render panel.
