Hey guys,

I'm a beginner to blender but I have experience with other 3d modellers.
Once I learned the controls for blender I absolutely loved it :)

Anyway, more to the point, In all my modelling, I never actually learned
how to do bones. I'm working on a huge video-game project and I kinda
need to animate my characters.

I figured out how to create the basic skeletal structure, ( probably not
very well because I'm a noob at it ) and parent it to the armiture and
make it move. I'm not sure how to select specific vertices of my model
and assign them to the bone I want, the initial link is no good, I keep
getting vertices left behind and things not moving the way I want.
My vertices are probably not too well set up for this either :/

Heres a few screenshots of my model

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Hey what you are asking is about weight painting. You can specify the amount of influence a certain bone can have on a vertex(from 0 to 1) via weight painting. All you need to do is:

> Select the armature and change it into pose mode.
> Select the object.
> Press ctrl+Tab or change the mode to weight painting mode(Just like changing mode to edit mode).
> Now with the cursor, you can right click and select the bone and then weight paint the vertices which are to be influenced.
> Blue =0 | Red = 1
> You can specify the weight to be given from the tool box in the side.

I tried weight painting it but it keeps moving nothing instead of half of it.
What am I doing wrong?
