Solid physical object in animation engine.

I have tried the game engine, but the physics just aren't right for what I want and wont interact with the other elements properly. I need a way to make an object interactive yet solid and can have many vertices yet without it flopping around like when I use soft body or cloth. I have A test video here:

The block works for now, but when I start to use more complicated objects it does not stay solid looking. Even with the block in this video looking solid, it does jiggle a mild amount [unnoticeable for now] and this is using the cloth. I tried soft body, but can't get anything to work as a solid there yet.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

That is actually a cloth animation with a collision object animated to hit the block where his finger hit. The problem with this is when you get into using things like force fields and collisions they either fold in an unwanted way, or flop around unlike the solid object I want them to be. For instance, I once tried this method with chairs and tables, trying to recreate the effect in Xmen First class where young Magneto gets angry and flings a bunch of random things around in a room near by SPOILER: [The scene where his mother is killed]

I need objects to remain solid while retaining those physical properties and simply reacting rather than being animated.
