Any ideas how to make a gun barrel spin, while in a anim.?

Right now I am animating a dreadnoughts assault cannon (a kinda minigun) from Warhammer 40.000, and i thought if it's possible to make the gun barrels spin, while animating all the other parts? I thought of giving it a bone, but that would be difficult to make the camera face in front of the dreadnougt all the time...

I hope someone writes..!

umm, that's actually trivial

you don't need to use bones, just an object that the barrel is a child of... or two

first make the gun barrels along an axis of your choice and animate them rotating

make them the child of an empty or something, then rotate and place the empty [which will move the barrels around] then make the parent of the empty the rest of the gun...

then go back and tweak the animation of the barrels [probably the time ipo.. . or maybe just the one rotation ipo you animated] to do what you want for your animation.
