particles ipo

Post by jessethemid » Mon May 01, 2006 8:59 pm

Here's an idea to make the particle system a LOT better. Instead of number of particles and start & end frames how about having a parameter for "number of particles emitter per frame" which will have an ipo channel. then you can use the ipo to turn on and off the stream multiple times and increase and decrease the flow amount. This would be REALLY beneficial to us who use particles alot.

Yea!
I have thought many times about all the different ipo curves you could use for particles in blender...if it had them. An ipo for the normal, random, force(xyz), etc... has anybody suggested these?

For sure !

I was working on an effect where I needed particles to "pulse" every 3rd frame instead of emitting constantly, and I couldn't figure out a way... This would work for me very well!
