i havent tried it yet, but the video demonstration of 'bmesh' looks absolutely amazing :D

although the fact that you have to cut the edges before you can connect them seems a bit time consuming.
being a 3dsmax guy by trade i'd prefer the option to just select the edges and the press connect, and it would auto-cut them.
but i'm sure that's something that could be added.

Really hope bmesh will make it into the official blender trunk !

That video is quite old, and was of the prototype I hacked togather in course of two weeks in jan. We need a new one!

Current builds have connect edges option like you suggest.

for some reason when I pasted the build into my blender directory the mesh isnt selectable. None of the components including widgets are... But when i grab the compliments zip file from the website it works.

Ctrl+Tab doesn't work to bring up selection modes.
Alt+Click doesn't select edge loops.
Faces aren't selectable.
None of the UI commands work.

Am I missing something?

However! This works very well... I am addicted. Thanks briggs!
