Problem: Yafray doesn't start, even by unchecking XML... Blender hangs and nothing happen. (Windows XP). Of course, Yafray is installed...

You have to use a newer version of YafRay - unfortunately, it is not included in this ZIP-File (SamAdam mentioned this before), but it was included in the last version.

I think that the new Ramp shader make a big difference with a skin shader in Blender. I did a test with it on one of my new 3d characters.-

So you got very close to the Ramp shader - it's a seperate folder sharing the panel with the 'Material' settings (called 'Ramps').arangel wrote:I couldn´t find the Ramp shader on this build... ?
I liked very much the new light toggles in the preview tab!
It's been a while since I looked into the particle system - I never really liked it. But with the new features it seems to be much more usable - and useful. I've seen Aner's demo movie and... Wow, I must use this!

And the new Ramp shader is a major feature for me - I will need some time to understand it but it already shows it's huge potential.
yay - great!! especially the ramp-shader - much better toon-shading is easy now! any chance to see that as a texture? this would enable us to use ramps on any texture attribute and improve blender's shading capabilities a lot! just as an extended blend-texture?
however great build, let me forget my hangover
best regards

I'm probably missing something, but you can already do colorband (ramps) for textures. I'm pretty sure you knew that already though, so that must not be what you meant.solmax wrote:any chance to see that as a texture? this would enable us to use ramps on any texture attribute and improve blender's shading capabilities a lot! just as an extended blend-texture?
