Post by sten » Fri Sep 24, 2004 1:35 pm

Hey all,
I have a binary for the latest bugfixing from Ton and all the coders!

before final 2.36 release, go and try to see if it feels alright or if there's any bugs to be ironed out !

compiled and built with Scons:

have fun hunting bugs and testing ... :)

new upload this morning ( 2004-09-28 ) time: 10.02
(see first post for build/download)

with new edge-/faceloop clickselection:
Log:
Faceloop select recoded, also nonmodal (no loop). It works by clicking with
ALT on an edge, in face-select mode. Holding shift again extends selection.

Current UI access can need rethink though. But I also think the loop tools
deserve to be accessible without menu, for speed/workflow. So what's good
shortcuts!

BTW: both tools don't do triangle meshes (yet)
< -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >

Log:
Added edgeloop selection as mode-less loop-less option.
Hotkey: ALT+select (ALT+CTRL for single button mouse)

Hold shift to extend selection, or to deselect

It correctly does edges on boundaries and loose edges too.

See http://www.letwory.net/tutes/edgefaceloops.htm for a visual on the new loopselection.

Wonderfull job! Explains/demonstrates things very well! :P
These video/flash/whatever tuts are really growing on me!
It explains things a lot better than just text and screenshots.

Watch out Wings, here we come! 8) (no disrespect of Wings, Bjorn is doing a stellar job there!)

I have set the file path for yafray and with xml enabled it's ok, but if xml option is disabled blender crash.
I have a Fedora Core 1
python 2.3.4 and yafray 0.0.7
are you sure that it's work on Fedora Core 2?

YAFRAY plugin (xml off) finally WORKS !!!! (even in 2.33 final ver it didn't on my Fedora Core 2)

ALL options WORKS !!!

great build.

I found 2 bugs:

- when you hide vertex with SubSurface and Optimal enabled. a black line appear for each hided vertex.

- face and edges select don't work when you are in Zbufered selection mode

coders know it has some issues on edge selection in zbuffer mode...try in Solidmode....easier then...

okej...living in the fast lane here...

new build 23.00 CET

new and optimized "Optimal" mode...now vertices in that mode is down close to the mesh, not up where the not SubSurfed mesh was before...it looks so sweet!

please also try to select in all kinds of ways, to test and if something wasn't broken this time.

go have happy time!
