I can confirm this bug, but will add that it also occurs in small scenes. This is not a new bug as it also occurred (though much less frequently) in previous versions. Switching to the console or another app, then back to Blender (usually) restores mousewheel function.

Also, "Esc" is not as responsive when attempting to halt rendering.

until (sunday && (bug tracker < wild guessed limit ))
then there 'll be a 2.36

so .. keep on testing everything you can think of this week and you'll have the best blender ever monday .. or so :)
and ... please, don't clutter bug tracker with *feature requests*

I didn't saw that anywhere.
I think not, it look more like an minor alpha update.
It would break the image of blender a bit to do two major release in 2 week.

Isn't the Linux update 2.35b?

If true, we should just make it 2.35c.

Or follow Microsoft's example: 2.35 service pack 2. :P
