I just confirmed I have py2.4, but Blender seems to be looking for one of its libs in the wrong place.

Thanks for taking the time to make these! I can't build a non-crashing[1] version myself, which may be due to the existence of Python 2.6 on my system.

[1] Most obviously, when I add a NURBS surface of any kind
then attempt to render it -> segfault. Also when using some features of the material editor (I didn't care about NURBS, but I was building a texture test scene at the time so texturing was important.)


Rush Kha Rater: You need the --force-depends option.
I had a similar problem, except that the package system reported an old ffmpeg version because I tend to recompile a lot of stuff myself rather than using the packaging system. (the actual version I had installed was a recent CVS version)
