Just to let the tech writing team know, in the 1st modeling tutorial, it needs some explanation that to assign a material or texture the user needs to click on the box next to the name entry, then click on the particular created material in the drop down list. I could not have known this without a YouTube video that showed an "assign" button, but that appears to be different in 2.66, so not as obvious. Unable to find that button, just out of curiosity I experimented and found the dropdown list.
The problem I'm having now is learning how to pan the 3Dview port in order to center the object being worked on.

Blender is in my package suite now and it is uncanny that it uses a Frame Theory concept that aligns with a similar Frame Theory i began developing in 1999. I'm anxious to learn now that I see that as well as how powerful the modeler/renderer really is.
