Hello community and Blender Institute people,
Here is my entry. Let me give you short explanantions on my design. As this movie is a special effects project, first I wanted to make a quite complicated logo with a lot of curves going over and under the text, but... it was actually complicated to get such a amount of details in a .SVG (I'm not really familiar with Inkscape). So, finally I decided to make a clean text with the dragon tree behind, I really wanted to keep a well balanced logo, and as Ton said : "Design a 2D stylized logo, which fits well on film posters (on top of graphics), on a DVD cover, but also on tee shirts. ", considering this and searching for inspiration in other well known movies I decided to keep it soft. I used a free font found at dafont.com and modified it a bit. So, here it is :

the .SVG version (right clic > save target as)
Done with Inkscape 0.46.
I hope you will like it

Re: Dragon's Cavern
I love this logo! I wonder if it the "S" in the dragon would read better if you curved the neck out a little more so it's not so close to the body and tweak the tail a little as well so it fits a little more with the iconic "S" shape? I mean just a little nudge, nothing major.paperpalette wrote:I've been visiting sintel page since the beginning and it has influence me the true potential of opensource programs well of course including BBB, and elephants dream even the beautiful artworks done in blender. And here's what i got in my mind for the logo
my concept was a sitting dragon that was turn its head back with its tail and the shape that it produce was a "S" form. I wanted to incorporate a bulk font for it to form "SINTEL" it was a blackoak std font but im still trying to use other font especially open fonts
that's all thanks

Hi Soulsapling,
you have to upload your image somewhere on the internet (on your website or on a image hosting service like http://imageshack.us/), and then link it here using the "Img" button when you create a post.
to host a svg file, you probably have to put it on your own website.
@allburn7 : warning, you image has a broken link.
