dragon and head combine

Post by paperpalette » Tue Apr 27, 2010 9:53 pm

hi guys just wanted to try a slightly different approach but still maintaining the fonts use in sintel website. my idea here was to incorporate the dragon's head to the head of sintel serving as a part of the hair because the dragons head was curve that seems to be a moving hair when zoom out. and finishing it a bit of ornamental style should i say and trying to set the icon with curves to put a moving feeling about it. And also i did try to put incorporate 2 colors something golden brown and darker red, I'll try to elaborate the colors in gimp but i for now i guess its better to present it in plain thats all, i know its a bit complex but its worth a try thank you

Life is hard if your never learn to love it

here is my suggestion - with and without black border. Enjoy!

With these colors and nicely fits the background here.
If you want the SVG just show me the delivery box. :D

Heres a few more.

I gotta say, theres some really good competition up there now. Great job everyone!

This one had an Illustrator "blur" effect on the wing but I think it was saved as raster when brought into Inkscape. That shouldn't be much of a problem though.

Hi everyone, last day to participate! :S
So I modified the dragon head to fit with the one in the Sintel Movie.
And here's some preview tests with the old logo.

Ok, a second color treatment that should appear more sophisticated:
