Nooby in need of help

First off, let me apologise for being stupid.

I just downloaded the newest version of Blender... i've always wanted to do 3D animation and now i think i've acctually have a shot at making a small movie. Sad thing is; i'm not very savvy with this kind of stuff. Are there any tutorials that show how... *sigh*... how all the darned buttons work? All i see is a square and it's sort of scaring me at the moment. Any help would be appreciated. Move this to a different catagory if needed; or if it gets deleted any time soon you can e-mail me at captain_of_mordor@yahoo.com

I sincerely wish you good luck in your Blending Taylor, but you should *really* choose another username when you participate in forums...

Why does blendernewbees have the realbasic logo?

I just googled "realbasic" to take a look at their logo (I've never heard of them until now) and I can see a resemblance. But, their logo is orthographic and mine has perspective, plus the circle around it and the gradient background.

I think I spent about 3 minutes creating the logo graphic. I tried to create the simplest icon that reminded me of new users of 3D software. You know, those fabulous "look what I did!" cubes.

I'll probably revisit it before the official .com site is brought online. Maybe I'll add a "B" and an "N" to the two front faces, respectively. I can't believe that there will be any problems with the similarities, though.
