It work only with NURBSCircle Bezier Circle and Curves.
Don´t work with Path.

Why ?

Version Build 2008-10-02

you can change the path length from the default of 100 frames in the editing panel "curve and surface" look for PathLen.

what exactly is NOT working only with paths? :)

sorry, you are right. they somewhat changed the control to IPO curves
try:
1) create a path, leave len to 100
2) parent a cube to it. if you wish clear origin (Alt+O)
3) select the path
4) go to a IPO window
5) change the default IPO type (object) to path, in the header listbox
6) edit the path curve to adjust length, speed and everything :)

well there something here:
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manua ... ing_a_Path

<<Speed IPO: When you add a Path, a Speed IPO curve is also automatically added, shaped such that any object traversing the path smoothly accelerates at the start and then decelerates smoothly to a stop at the end of the path over 100 frames. You can view this Speed IPO curve in the IPO window, Path IPO type. This Speed curve overrides the Pathlen value. You can edit this IPO curve to change the speed and location of the object over whatever time period you wish, using the standard IPO editing features of Blender.>>

but there is no "speed" in IPO TYPES listbox, just "path"

and more, in the "IPO TYPES" section of the manual it is referred as "curve"... definitely it lacks coherence here... :)

http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Manual/Ipo_Types

BTW, effectively, if you delete the "speed" ipo curve (selecting "path" ipo type :)) it does not override anymore your PathLen, which is working again!
