Simple Lighting

Post by neanderslob » Mon Dec 31, 2012 9:20 pm

Hi All,

I've written a simple little python conversion script that takes a 3D .stl file from cad software and outputs it as x3d, using blender, for the purposes of displaying it on the web. However, knowing very little about blender, I've been having a hard time with finding a way to put light sources into the python script to display the cad model. I'm not looking for anything fancy (at least I don't think so) but I was wondering if there's just sort of an easy catch-all way I could light any object I convert with this script to just make it visible, like it would be in a cad program.

Thanks for any thoughts. :)
