Move & Rotate Linked Objects

I can't find a solution to how to move and rotate linked objects.

I don't want to duplicate the objects, cause they don't get changes like new material or deform from the main object.

Is it possible to do so?

Not exactly what I'm looking for but interesting in another way..
Haven't read all yet, will do it at time.

A way I found out meanwhile is to
add a group to the object that should be linked,
link it with a relative path in the main .blend
and add this via Add->Group->xyz

Works fine ;)
But not everytime as it should do.. cannot link the GameLogics.. maybe will find out this to^^

Thanks anyway, think could be helpful

Inside of the user prefs->editing you can select what gets duplicated
when you duplicate things.
You can also decide if you want the material linked to the object
or the object data.

You can also use links to base properties off of the base object, or another object.
object->Make links from the 3d window.

So you can choose what parts of the object point to the base object or what parts are local to your child. You'll probably have to play with it a bit before you
figure out how to do it the way you want but it is possible.

Do a google search for blender dupliate object for more in depth info.
Alot of it will be based on older versions of blender but once you get the hang of it and the idea you should be able to figure out what you want to do.

Yeah, but I don't want to duplicate objects, I want to link them from an external libary.
Also there's no button for GameLogics.

I tried a little bit and I could link a Armature with Mesh and GL in the main scene, and the GL was still there and it worked.
Most other attempts didn't work.. not shure why, but will search for it.

SOLUTION: Convert the linked object in a PROXY OBJECT (CRT+ALT+P) and then you can move/rotate/scale with the same advantage of a linked object :P
