How to render an image out of the compositing window

Post by tophat » Tue Jul 12, 2011 3:00 pm

Hello everyone

I'm a long time MAYA user, new to Blender.

I created an iPhone smashed to the ground (following a tutorial - cool stuff!).
and after finishing the modeling, texturing, setting up the particles, lighting, and composting in the composting window. i wonted to render a .PNG file (or any other file type), but what do you know - i have no idea how to render out of blenders composting window.

So... can any of you fine folks give me a hand here?

just go back to the Default screen lay-out and in the render panel set your format, output directory etc. and press render. Blender should detect the Compositing setup, if not open the Post Processing tab and select Compositing

Thanks for the quick replay :D

I tried it but i keep getting an error massage - "No Render Output Node In Scene"
I tried selecting all the nodes or some of them - nothing works.

as for the Post Processing tab - where is it?

Add a Composite node at the end of your node path, check out the manual for more info:

As for the Post Production tab, in the default layout its on the right (scroll down) when you click the camera icon
