Hide vertices

Post by jimmyy » Fri Mar 29, 2013 10:52 pm

Hi,

Could I hide some vertices and render the scene with the hidden vertices?

I managed to hide the vertices in Edit mode, but not in Object mode, and anyway I would like to render it with part of the vertices hidden.

An example can be a human model where you want to show the inner organs only sometimes, so you need to hide the skin to see inside....

Thanks

As far as I know you can't really do something like hiding only part of an object and rendering the rest. The closest you could get would be to give the parts of the object that you want to hide a transparent material that won't show up in render. For the example that you gave though, you should make the skin into its own object and the organs as another. That way you have control of what gets shown.
