How do you make a face with only one side?

How do you make a face with only one side?

Post by kr77 »

I am attempting to make a face where only one side will render, meaning 'from the back' nothing will render. I managed to achieve this, but I have no idea how to reproduce it.

The attached screenshots and Blender file show what I am attempting to do. How do I do this in a new blender file?

Cheers,
Kevin

In the Object data tab, there's a checkbox "Double-sided", untick it, that should do the trick
I'm sitting, waiting, wishing, building Blender in superstition...

Thanks, CoDEmanX. I understand that the models start off this way now. When I searching for this info, I wasn't using the term 'double-sided'. After I put that in Google, I received a solid explanation of the concept.

Cheers,
Kevin
