Difference between Blender 2.65 and 2.66????

I just downloaded Blender 2.66a and I am new at this Blender thing. I have always wanted to be a graphic designer for big movie productions or famous/familiar cartoons. I downloaded Blender 2.65 a few months ago and still am getting "cozy" with the program. Does anybody have any tips for me creating my own characters? I want to start doing that. Also, video intros.
