Importing animation from Endorphin to Blender?

Post by Ortmeyer » Thu Aug 15, 2013 7:35 pm

Hello, i am trying to import an animation file i created in Endorphin(a BVH file). When i import it i see a skeleton acting out the animation. But how do i connect a "physical" body to it? I realize this is a very noobish question but i googled it and didn't really find any good explanations. So if anyone could help, or point me to a tutorial, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

In order to connect a mesh to an armature select the mesh then the rig and press ctrl + p. You can use automatic weights and then fix it up with weight painting afterwards.

Nope. I tried to parent it but it didn't work. The torso of the character follows the animation, but it doesn't deform. Its just a solid torso following the motion path of the animation.

Would posting the .blend file help?
