Is there built in support for extracting a bezier equation?

The forums here are for Blender development. Questions and discussion about *using* Blender belong on blenderartists.org If your thread was moved here, you are probably in the wrong place.

Is there built in support for extracting a bezier equation?

I would like to view the equations which make up bezier curves in blender.
The idea was that I could take an object, map it with curves, and using the curves, figure out the volume under the curve-formed surfaces. Pointless but wanted to give it a shot. Is such a thing supported by blender or will I need to begin pulling teeth now? :?:

Blender itself has no intrinsic methods for calculating the volume, but the curve control points are available via Python and the Bezier equations are all over the interwebs or in a computer graphics handbook. Wolfram might be a good place to look. Google is your friend.
