64-bit

Does anyone have any idea when a 64bit blender may come out for Windows and OSX?

For Windows at least unknown, as we lack developers who have access to 64-bit platforms. I'm still waiting for the community to donate me one, so I can finalise that too ;)

Working on it

Post by rlangschultz »

I am working on a 64-bit universal binary (x86_64, ppc64) for Mac OS X 10.5. I am kinda hung up on the Freetype libraries though.

I also want to embed all the libraries inside the application. Lets see how it goes...

64-bit

Not anytime soon. Converting everything to 64-bit has been very difficult. Especially with the Freetype libraries. I am using Xcode 3.0 on Mac OS X Leopard so I am unable to test on *any* other platform - can't means won't - in this instance.
