dittohead's not the only one:), I'd love to see Blender on OBOS(or whatever it ends up being called). I just wish I could code so I could help do it.

What is the status on BeOS?
I mean:

- people still use the latest BeOS release of Be inc? So a Blender version can be compiled & tested already. We supported BeOS until 2.20

- the open-BeOS, once finished, will just be compatible, so no real different work has to be done then?

New name? Internally, I used to can BeOS "Beezo". :-)

yes, people still use beos 5.03 .
Openbeos is far not ready for use, but it's getting along nicely.
It'll be at least source-compatible ,so we'll just have to recompile
it on openbeos.

Latest BeOs Distros are:

Latest, newest, and legal BeOs-Code is owned by Yellow Tab.
Zeta can baught by Yellow Tab. under www.yellowtab.com
for 83Euro or 99Us$.
But there is no serious development for Blender until now.''
Hope someone can start one soon.
Bernd Korz from Yellow Tab likes Blender too.
So he will very likely help with questions concerning Zeta.

If you can code for BeOs you very likely can code for Zeta as well. But Zeta is the new BeOs with alot of improvements, like SVG, new network, multiuser, and very near a Java 2 port.

It is aiming for a 100% source compatibility.
