Quicktime Problems

for the last 2 versions, I've been compiling the sources from hand instead of using the gentoo ebuilds, and every time I enable with quicktime it doesn't build.

I'm building on gentoo linux-2.6.7-r16 with kde 3.3 and x.org 6.8.0

Current quicktime support only works with the official Quicktime SDK from Apple.
AFAIK this SDK is only available for OSX and Windows.

In tuhopuu1 there were experiments with a Quicktime implementation for linux,
based on libquicktime. Unfortunately this work is discontinued.
