Openssl. keymaker and BLO_verify...
Posted: Wed Jun 29, 2005 1:34 pm
I am trying to port Blender on Pocketpc. I have a look on openssl. It will be possible to make it run for pocketpc but is it really necessary?
Openssl is used for the keys... but they are no keyfile anymore, isn't it? Can I not easily exclude from my built the internal library \intern\keymaker and the files in \Verify such as BLO_verify. In this way, I will not need to implement opensssl...
Will it be a problem? Can someone advise me? Or do you think that we need openssl and all these files?
Thanks for your help,

There is no need for openssl, the keyfile code was thrown out. Both the keymaker and verify modules are not built anymore (they don't appaer in scons or makefiles). You can safely disable them.

Usefull information. I am creating all projects with EVC4. I don't have Visual C++ and so I am building everything from scratch.
Do you maybe know where I can easily find a list of source/module in the tree (/inter, /exter and /blender) that are not applicable any more?
Don't worry if this information is not easily available, I will try and see :=) With a pocketpc, it is not a good idea to implement think not usefull :=)
Thanks again for your help,

You can look in the Makefiles.
For example if you look at intern/Makefile
You'll see that the only dirs used are:
ALLDIRS = string ghost guardedalloc bmfont moto container memutil
ALLDIRS += decimation iksolver bsp SoundSystem opennl

So if I understand good, I don't need in \intern: \action and \csg and in \source\blender\, I don't need: \blenloader, \ftfont (if no international), \readblendfile, \verify.
But for example, BKE_booleanops_mesh.h in \blenkernel need csg... but if I look the makefiles, maybe not everyfiles here should be included... I will have to study these makefiles!!

I have an other question :=)
I see in the scons/make that \blenkernel\bad_level_call_stubs\stubs.c has to be included in build. But in stubs.c, functions already difined are defined againe! So the compile complains. For example: radio.obj : error LNK2005: freeAllRad already defined in stubs.obj.
Should I really include stubs.c in build. If yes, what should I do against this link error?
Thanks for your help,
