Post by Napoleon » Sun Oct 09, 2005 9:32 am

I have managed to compile blender on windows using cygwin. How ever although i only have python2.4 installed when i start blender it complains about not finding python and says using python2.3.

How can i ensure it compiles with python2.4

afaik you should just install scons and python in cygwin (use the cygwin stuff, not the other, to prevent problems - do so by modifying your %PATH%). After that it should be just 'scons' at the prompt.

Sorry jester but you lost me there. I will need a bit more details on the installation of scons and python in cygwin and also is it the system path that i have to change?

As you can see i am prety ignorant about what you mean. Thanks.

I installed python2.4 by going through the setup.exe for cygwin. There was no scons package so how do i install scons for cygwin? Also Which path do i have to modify.
