Cygwin fails when I change splashscreen..(Solved)

I made a new splash.jpg and a new splash.jpg.c within datatoc.exe but the build fails. Any ideas?

Excellent. Now we are getting someplace. Having the actual error msgs is quite useful for debugging problems. The first msg is always more important than the last.

The compiler does not like what it sees in splash.jpg.c. You need to look at this file and see what is wrong. splash.jpg.c:3 refers to line 3.

Did datatoc complain about anything?

datatoc doesn't complain about anything.
File splash.jpg.c it is full of numbers. Nothing seems wrong to me.

to debug this were going to have to see a copy of the file giving the
errors.

The file splash.jpg.c is *supposed* to be full of numbers. If you can not figure out what is wrong you need to show us the error. I thought we got that point across!

The error is in the first 3 or 4 lines of the file.
Yours should look something like this.

Hello Stiv!
I know about the numbers but it seems it wasn't something wrong with the file. After the last update I've made yesterday(that was 2006 05 10), Blender compiles again fine with my new splash. It had happened again before but I couldn't remember what was wrong , because not then neither now know what is wrong. At any right the file splash.jpg.c I used was the same but the last time building finished normaly without errors.

Check the first lines of the oficial splash file, you have to manually edit the new file to fix the path, datatoc leaves long paths that are not needed
