The Zaurus uses the ipk package format. iPKG is a very lightweight package management system.
It uses a version of embedded Linux.

Probably not anytime soon.
Look at the README in the cvs tree for all of the apps blender
depends on. A big clue is if it has GL support or not.

Well, as you can see in
this thread , there is an open source Zaurus-enabled OpenGL derivative available. That might be the beginning of something beautiful
