2.42a source tarball?

Post by earlye »

Would somebody mind putting up the source tarball for 2.42a, and/or just let me know which CVS revision to grab?

Also, would it be possible in the future to always include in the release notes the CVS revision?

We always tag the source before a release. In this case, the tag you want is
blender-2-42a-release

Thanks! That's just the info I was looking for. Now I don't need to bug everybody to build a tarball when a version of interest comes out.

Its there now.
I would recommend using current cvs over any of the source releases though.... ;)

The sources are out of date usually about an hour after they are posted...
(in this case before even)

my understanding is that the unpackaged CVS could be unstable, while the release tarball reflects the sourcecode used to build the official release, which is what i need right now. Sirdude says it's 'there', but where? Sorry I am an ignorant fool who doesn't use the CVS, i always dl the source from http://blender.org/cms/Source_Code.12.0.html

Please advice.

It's strange that it take so long to have the source code. :?
