Feature Suggestion for UV Editor

Post by modron » Sun Jan 28, 2007 1:29 pm

Hey guys, this is probably a bit late in the release schedule for new features, but I was thinking, it might be fairly easy to do, and really useful. The suggestion is: a line tool
btw, I painted some really great textures earlier today using the pressure sensitivity, and it totally rocks.

Too late for new features since CVS has been frozen for a week or so.

If you are serious about your suggestion, consider writing a proposal describing what it is and how it works. "The suggestion is: a line tool" is a little light on detail.

every painting app out there from microsoft paint to photoshop has a line tool, so I didn't think a detailed description was really necessary. there is already one coded into the retopo feature btw, so technically blender already has a line tool, just not in the UV editor.

Oh, oh, me too! I want a full set of 2d vector objects in the image editor (lines, bezier curves, bezier filled shapes)! This would be great for rotoscoping video mattes! Oops, one other thing is needed - Layers

Now that we support multi layered images in Blender shouldn't there be a layers ui panel in the image editor? Something to control stacking order, opacity, and maybe blend modes??

Sorry, the image editor with pressure sensitivity is really nice, so now I want more paint application features added to it

Who needs Gimp when we have Blender :D

Edit: GSOC
