new to blender

Post by Norwegiboard » Sat Mar 03, 2007 5:34 am

i'm new to blender and i think it's a wonderful product. i have one question though. i want to add vertices to a mesh. i want the new vertex to become part of the mesh and when i move that vertex have it affect the mesh accordingly. i've searched through most of the tutorials on the site and couldn't find what i was looking for.

Apparently you didn't read the "Answers for new Users" sticky. You are in the entirely wrong forum. Go to http://blenderartists.org/forum/ for such questions. Unfortunately I am a new user and I can't help you either. I thought I could figure it out but the best I found was the Knife Tool (Shift-K).

To nowegi:

I am quite new too but in edit mode, just deselect all with AKEY, then add a vertex where you want with Ctr+ LMB and then select the vertex you just created and the one you want to link it to and press FKEY et voila. You now have an edge.

I hope it helps !
