I know eventually Blender will have these sort of capabilities. I keep hearing stuff about how somebody is working on it, then nobody is, then somebody is again...

I know you guys are probably very tired of constant fire and smoke simulation requests.

Will Blender ever get volumetric simulations?

It will happen when someone writes it. This is how Open Source works. It's that simple.

Is there any other program out there that can do this? I just need some explosion animations for my games.
