FastLSM Soft Body Algorithm

This is something I accidently stumbled upon while browsing the internet. Basically, it's supposed to be a very fast, and efficent soft body system that can deform and tear multiple, high-res objects with a typical desktop machine at real-time. Now, I don't claim to know how fast the current Soft Body system is, so don't go clashing down on me for getting something wrong about it. This isn't really a feature request (but it would be cool to have this feature in Blender), but just me letting everyone else know about it. And although the source code is for Windows only, the author also placed a thesis paper on the algorithm on the link listed below.

That would sure bring the fastest dynamics engine I ever seen into Blender. Perhaps this thread is located in the wrong forum area and should be move to the so it would get more attention. Personally I think it´s stunning and it looks really fun :)

Scratch the idea :cry:

I just discovered that the algorithm has to be licensed to be used and that wouldn't work with open source software.

someone must take this in mind for future improvements of the soft body physics engine 8)
