Spline IK (Feature Request for 2.5?)

will IK Spline be available in Blender 2.5 ? Its a really well known feature in 3D, almost all other 3D packages have this, standard, I would like to know, when will it be available to Blender ? or if theres no interest in adopting it. I've already tryed Bones on curves, etc. Its not the same.

I believe what you might be looking for is the B-Bones?

And heres a quickie file i threw together for you,
nothing especially out standing, mind you:

Simple B-Bone Example(Right-Click and Save As)

perhaps use the pole target, too?

Introducing Spline IK would be really really great. I have spent three weeks trying to mimic this feature in Blender (using b-bones, curve deforms, IK solvers and hooks, ...). Without any luck.

As this is quite standard feature in all 3d application with rigging capabilities it would be nice to have it in Blender. As we can see here ... inematics/ there are still some coding works concerning IK constraints enhancements.

Really big thank to coder who would be interested in this. Thank you.
