uv texturing on fur wont work

uv texturing on fur wont work

Problem with uv on fur/hair: uv texture won't map onto fur

orco map works fine seems to be something with uv map (on map input)

tested on all builds including latest of yet 2.47.1

Replicate:

"object" has two materials one is base other is fur.

particle settings seem to have no impact so set to whatever just so

that emitter is active and strands are rendered.

mesh is unwrapped any type of texture used tried both text face (no

result) (though this should work) also tried materials>texture Image

load


Not sure if this is a true bug or if I'm just doing something wrong. though tried it dozens of times different settings should be easy, as I said before it maps the texture onto the fur using orco map so tex map should work using same settings.

I can make up a quick test file if anyone thinks this is a bug or wants to research this more.

Problem solved you have to make a new uv layer and set it to map input> UV: (Box) (Found it by accident) :)

Ok since this problem is fixed is there a wiki on the new 2.46+ particles/other features? As I could not find one on the new particle system or many of the other features as well.
