exporting to quicktime

how do you export blender animations to quicktime in 2.48?

Well, the same way it was before. Using the FFMpeg option (has to be compiled in - I'm not sure if it's been done with the Windows version.).

Official releases on Windows are built with Quicktime support. There should be appropriate options in the render format dropdown.

one, i mean how do i export animations to quicktime( im new)

two, i use a mac not windows

Quicktime support is obviously also compiled into Blender on OS X. Again, in the Format panel of the scene settings (F10), choose QuickTime for output. You should see a new button [Set codec]. Use it to choose the appropriate encoding scheme for your animation. Saving of your animation goes as normal.
